Overview

The Leasing Project Manager reports directly to the Director of Corporate Operations and is responsible for the PMO’s Project deliverables and is an internal business partner for the company. Deliverables are assigned by the Director of Corporate Operations  (or Directors/ VP). The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all projects assigned to them run effectively on time, on budget and communicates appropriately.  Project Manager is the liaison with stakeholders and project team members.  When managing projects and developing solutions, the Project Manager uses structured problem solving techniques preferably through the DMAIC process, (a problem-solving approach that drives Lean Six Sigma, known as Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control.) This position improves existing and launches new processes.  The Project Manager will monitor project completeness and accuracy, as well as prepare project status reports as needed.

 

Key areas of Responsibility include:

  • Using Lean Six Sigma methodology to solve business problems
  • Create and deliver project charters
  • Lead scoping work sessions using six sigma tools (SIPOC, Affinity diagrams, etc.)
  • Consolidating user stories and documenting process maps
  • Accurately Identify failure modes/ weaknesses in a process
  • Build controls that ensure the new process achieves the desired outcomes
  • Communicate with project team and stakeholders
  • Resolve budget or time related issues
  • Maximize user adoption through change management techniques
  • Ensure all projects are conducted with ethics and company standards

Responsibilities

  • Use the appropriate Six Sigma tools during scoping exercises. Be organized in the structure of project management and provide recaps of all tools used.
  • Prepare for workshops using a detailed agenda, session path, whiteboard activities and have all documents and information ready for the project team.
  • Effective communication and delivery is key for each project cycle. Build and schedule a communication plan for each project. Know the project team and the expectation for delivery. Use the appropriate tool for communication depending on the circumstance such as MS Teams, email, in-person meetings and any other communication platforms. 
  • Organize and Analyze a variety of data sources to provide insight and uncover root cause to business problems. Make decisions based on analytical findings. Use Excel, Power Query, Power BI, SQL to analysis and build support to possible solutions
  • Build and support controls for projects designed to indicate the project is driving the desired outcomes and providing return for the business.  Controls should be thoroughly tested and automated whenever possible.  Provide documentation and supporting materials that comply with the deliverables outlined in the project charter or DMAIC process.   
  • For each project be able to identify the key stakeholder(s) who will become the process owner. Deliver complete documentation and supporting materials to ensure a complete and accurate hand off to the future process owner.  Provide time after the project to be an SME (Subject Matter expert) resource to answer questions and help make the transition more effective. Support projects with recommended policies, process maps, detailed procedures, and desktop manuals. 
  • Be able to prioritize and subgroup project activities. Communicate with PMO Lead and key stakeholders on those activities. Anticipate a certain amount of project scope creep and make sure to work with PMO Lead on any timeline and resource changes.
  • Embody TEC Vision, Mission and Values and empower others to help TEC deliver on its customer commitment. Qualifications

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, or related field.  PMP Certification and/or Six Sigma Certifications preferred
  • Proven experience with managing projects, communication with team members and key stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in a corporate environment and using systems of management and influence without authority to achieve desired outcomes.
  • High level of proficiency using Enrich Software, Salesforce, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams.
